What Are Common Air Conditioning Problems?

Roy Inch & Sons Service Experts is here with a few of the most usual A/C problems in London.

  • No Cool Air

If you can hear your air conditioner working but there isn’t cool air blowing, you may need to have your refrigerant levels checked. Refrigerant is what helps make sure the air coming out of your system is actually cool. Call Roy Inch & Sons Service Experts and we’ll come out and review your refrigerant levels and look into why your air conditioner is not giving off cool air.

  • Fan Won’t Rotate

The reason your condenser fan might not be rotating could be that it merely burned out and you have to replace it. Humidity can cause more condensation so an additional issue to watch for is that the water is not draining right or that the drain is obstructed. If you can check these things, you may be able to discover the issue; if not, give Roy Inch & Sons Service Experts a call and we can investigate what has stopped your condenser fan from rotating and go over your options to get your system up and running again.

  • Not Cooling Properly

First, try lowering your thermostat. It seems simple but sometimes we neglect the obvious. If that doesn’t get your A/C cooling, inspect the air filter. If the air filter is obstructed, it could cause major cooling troubles. Another problem that could cause your lack of cooling is that your air conditioner is not sized properly, and unfortunately this is a frequent issue when homes are constructed. Roy Inch & Sons Service Experts will come out and perform an analysis to determine if the size of your unit is causing your troubles.

  • System is Short Cycling

If your air conditioner is short cycling, or turning on or off continuously, it could mean one of multiple things. One is that your condenser or evaporator is dirty and in need of cleaning. Once the unit is cleaned and all clogs removed, you may be back in business. Note that humidity also plays a part so if your home cools to the right temperature, but then the humidity causes your home to warm back up, it could result in on-again, off-again air conditioning because the system is having to work harder to keep your home comfortable.

No matter your trouble, whatever air conditioning trouble you run into, Roy Inch & Sons Service Experts is here for you 24/7/365 so we can get you comfortable quickly.
