What Are Common Air Conditioning Problems?

Roy Inch & Sons Service Experts is here with a few of the most usual air conditioning problems in London.

  • No Cool Air

If you can hear your air conditioner working but there isn’t cool air blowing, you may need to have your refrigerant levels checked. Refrigerant is what helps make sure the air coming out of your system is actually cool. Call Roy Inch & Sons Service Experts and we’ll come out and review your refrigerant levels and look into why your system is not giving off cool air.

  • Fan Won’t Rotate

The reason your condenser fan may not be rotating could be that it simply burned out and you have to replace it. Humidity can cause more condensation so an additional problem to watch for is that the water is not draining right or that the drain is obstructed. If you can check these issues, you may be able to discover the issue; if not, give Roy Inch & Sons Service Experts a call and we can find out what has stopped your condenser fan from rotating and go over your options to get your system up and running again.

  • Not Cooling Properly

First, try lowering your thermostat. It seems simple but sometimes we neglect the obvious. If that doesn’t get your A/C cooling, inspect the air filter. If the air filter is obstructed, it could cause significant cooling problems. Another problem that could cause your lack of cooling is that your HVAC system is not sized properly, and unfortunately this is a common issue when homes are constructed. Roy Inch & Sons Service Experts will come out and perform an analysis to determine if the size of your unit is causing your troubles.

  • System is Short Cycling

If your air conditioner is short cycling, or turning on or off continuously, it could mean one of multiple things. One is that your condenser or evaporator is dirty and needs cleaning. Once the unit is cleaned and all clogs removed, you may be good to go. Note that humidity also plays a role so if your home cools to the right temperature, but then the humidity causes your home to heat up quickly, it could result in on-again, off-again air conditioning because the system is having to work harder to keep your home comfortable.

No matter your problem, whatever air conditioning trouble you run into, Roy Inch & Sons Service Experts is here for you 24/7/365 so we can get your family comfortable quickly.
