Two Service Experts centers are making a statement this October with pink vans. Fras-Air/General Service Experts and Service Experts Heating and Air Conditioning of Raleigh are both going to paint two of their work vans pink for the fight to end breast cancer.
Throughout the month of October, Fras-Air/General Service Experts will be contributing 20% of all sales from their pink vans to their local Susan G. Komen chapter to help raise money to help end breast cancer. Service Experts of Raleigh will be donating 5% of all sales from their pink vans plus $10 for every furnace tune-up to their local chapter, Susan G. Komen North Carolina Triangle to the Coast.
This is the second time Fras-Air/General Service Experts has painted a couple of their vans pink to raise funds for breast cancer. In 2015, Fras-Air was able to raise over $7,000 for Komen North Jersey. David Schneider, the general manager and one of his employees both lost their mothers to alternative forms of cancer and were moved to help other families.
“The National Cancer Institute said that 107,184 women in New Jersey faced breast cancer in 2016,” Schneider stated. “While the number of cases is actually declining each year, that still represents a huge number of families who are struggling with this disease, and that means there’s an urgent need for research and support.”
Chris Overton, the General Manager for Service Experts of Raleigh, echoed Schneider’s thoughts. “As stated by the North Carolina State Center for Health Statistics, breast cancer is the most prominent type of cancer in North Carolina – for men and women.”
