About Service Experts Heating & Air Conditioning:

The Service Experts name debuted in 1996, but the company traces its roots in Canada back to 1875. Service Experts’ current 90 U.S. and Canadian locations were acquired from independent HVAC businesses, and the company has grown to be one of North America’s largest HVAC service companies, including 15 Canadian centers: 11 in Ontario, three in Alberta and one in Manitoba. In May 2016, Service Experts was purchased by a subsidiary of Enercare Inc. for $340.75 million (U.S.).

Service Experts services residential and light commercial locations. The centers specialize in all traditional and modern sustainable heating and cooling equipment, including; gas, electric, and oil forced-air furnaces; heat pumps; air conditioners; boilers; and ductless, hybrid, solar, and geothermal heating and air conditioning systems. The company also sells and installs thermostats, duct work, duct zoning systems, and integrated “whole-home” air quality products such as air filtration, air purification, humidity control (humidifiers and dehumidifiers), and air ventilation systems. Six of the Service Experts Canadian centers also offer full-service plumbing capability.

Abbey Air supports The Hospital Activity Book For Children, an invaluable tool for professionals caring for children undergoing medical treatment or who are in a crisis situation. The HABC is also a partner with Make-A-Wish Canada.

The books are designed for children ages 4 to 12, with activities that are fun for the children, while helping professionals to communicate with children about their thoughts, fears and feelings. The activities range from simple dot to dot coloring to more advanced puzzles. The Hospital Activity Book for Children is provided free of charge.

The center also recently helped send the girl’s Team Canada/Inline Hockey to the Federation of International Roller Sports World Championships in Asiago and Roana, Italy by organizing a local fundraiser.

Twice a year, Limcan Walker/Certified organizes a food drive to benefit the Salvation Army, donating 600-1,000 pounds of food at a time. (One food delivery entailed 15 trucks to convey all the groceries.) The center also joins forces annually with the Durham regional police toy drive, collecting 200-300 toys. Twice a year, the center donates HVAC equipment to be auctioned by the Kingsman Club, raising money for their outreaches. The center has even helped with a unique local program called Salmon Run, with volunteers helping wild salmon over the waterfall on their way to spawn.

General Manager Peter Inch has been in the HVAC industry for over 40 years. He hosts “Ask the Experts,” a weekly radio call in show on CJBK1290. To help celebrate their 80th anniversary of serving the London community, Roy Inch & Sons launched their HUGS program with a goal to help 80 families in need with their home comfort. Since the program started in 2007, Roy Inch & Sons have given away 78 free tune-ups on furnaces and A/C units. With the help of Armstrong and Lennox, they also donated two free complete forced air gas furnaces and air conditioners to two families. Other causes Roy Inch & Sons support are breast cancer awareness, heart and stroke awareness, the Women’s Community House, and Big Brothers Big Sisters. Most recently, the center helped raise more than $8,000 for Canadian Red Cross to aid people affected by the Fort McMurray fires.
